Jakey - Lead & Rhythm Guitar

Our very own Guitar Hero! Jakey is the founder member of the band and says:

"I suppose I am the catalyst of Smokin Monkey as on a drunken night out with Simon I asked him if he had ever thought about singing in a band, he hadn't so it was a good platform to start from. From there, together we have hand picked the rhythm section of Chris and Chike and the rest as they say is history.

As well as giving solid rhythm and soaring lead I think I bring some much needed glamour and style to the band that wouldn't be out of place on a Parisian cat walk."

A modified Gibson Les Paul with EMG 81 bridge and 60 in the neck
Gibson SG standard with Semour Duncan Phat Cat in the bridge and a cats
whiskers Phat moggy in the neck

Amplification:

MESA Amplifier Head and Marshall 4x12 cab.

Effects:
Boss tu-2 tuner, my own moddified wah pedal, Digitech Whammy, Boss
ns-2 noise suppreser, Boss ch-2 chorus and a Boss DD-3 delay with others being added by the day.

Strings:
D'addario 10's and D'Addario Half Rounds.
