Our very own Guitar Hero! Jakey is the founder member of the band and says:

"I suppose I am the catalyst of Smokin Monkey as on a drunken night out with Simon I asked him if he had ever thought about singing in a band, he hadn't so it was a good platform to start from. From there, together we have hand picked the rhythm section of Chike & Chris and now Rob and the rest as they say is history.

As well as giving solid rhythm and soaring lead I think I bring some much needed glamour and style to the band that wouldn't be out of place on a Parisian cat walk."
